Quantum is a 32-bit Program specifically designed for ease of use. A Multi-Room, Multi-Floor Building can be rapidly entered, especially if using the Copy Room Facility. Rooms can easily be moved from one Zone or Floor to another simply by renumbering. All Rooms can be Created, Viewed and Edited from a single screen! You can change any parameter and recalculate the load for "What if?" design situations.


The Professional Version allows every parameter to be customised for up to 99 individual Rooms, including Room Name, Room Shape, Zone, Floor, Summer / Winter Design Temperatures, Occupancy, Ventilation, Infiltration, Lighting, Machinery, Electrical Loads and more. Fabric and Glazing materials & Room Dimensions are also set within this Screen.

The Slimline Version allows the User to rapidly enter the minimum of Room Data to arrive at a quick Load result. A large number of Preset Values are used and a number of these can be changed and saved, thus allowing the software to be managed by an experienced person, but used by another with little or no AC&R knowledge. Even windows in external walls are automatically sized in accordance with Part L Building Regulations!

Quantum Professional & Professional Plus Versions have 8 Preset Room Shapes. As you enter Wall Lengths, the software automatically completes the remaining walls according to geometric rules and includes error trapping to prevent invalid values. Areas and Volumes are calculated automatically.

All Rooms must comply with the 8 points of the compass to match CIBSE Data (N, NE, E, SE. S, SW, W & NW) and Wall Angles are therefore forced at 45 / 90 degree intervals. Rooms can be rotated to a new Orientation in 45 degree steps. Quantum illustrates the current Room and Wall, visually indicating if Walls/Roofs/Floors are Internal or External and whether Glass has been inserted. This makes checking of User Entries incredibly quick and simple.
